STABLE OF STARS!
Welcome to the 2005 Stable of Stars!! It contains current photos of the House of Crests birdroom, the assorted bonsai and of course, a small sampling of the 2005 Gloster Stud.
As was mentioned in the commentary contained in the 2004 Stable of Stars Pages of Consorts and Coronas, the Glosters you will see on this page indeed show that I continue in my focus on the Gloster Corona and its ideal mate, the "Corona-Producing-Consort."
Let's begin our visit with photos of the birdroom and the bonsai. Please enlarge the images and study not only the layout but also the individual cages and the functionality they afford.
Please click on the thumbnails to enlarge an image. When finished viewing the image, use the left arrow icon on your browser toolbar to return to this page.
The House is pleased to present some of "The 2005 Stable of Stars" that are currently being utilized in the 2005 breeding program of The House Of Crests as it continues in its
"quest to raise & improve on its best!"
You will notice that there are several shots of each Gloster. That is so that you, the viewer, may observe each canary in a different position in order that you may be fully aware of the intense richness and quality of feather of each intensive and non-intensive Gloster.
As your curser hovers over an image, a small window will appear with the band number and year of the Gloster in the photo for your convenience. Simply click on the image to enlarge it then click on the back arrow to return to this page and continue your review.
A Handful Of Coronas!
And In The Other Hand, We Have The Consorts!
Many visitors to this website praise me on the quality of the Glosters in all the photos but some say that they cannot tell the size of the canaries. Seems with all the huge Glosters winning across America and overseas whilst the standard calls for the Gloster to be to the diminutive, they wonder what the size is of the Glosters in the photos.
I can assure you this as I explain an error in the above photos of my Glosters in showcages. You see, I used training cages for the photographs. In the actual Standard Gloster Showcage the perches are placed 3 wires either side of the center wire. If you count the wires in all the photos above, you will see that the perches are much closer together!
There is no center wire thus bringing the perches closer together yet the Glosters still look as the standard states, "tendency to the diminutive." I have to believe that these Glosters follow that statement while still having substance, bulk, type not to mention richness and quality of feather!
